The Alarm have rescheduled their forthcoming Winter 2009 tour to Spring 2010.

The Welsh alternative rockers have chosen to move their entire tour, following an illness (two, in fact) contracted by lead man Mike Peter's wife, Jules, who was recently diagnosed with DVT (deep vein thrombosis), as well as a virus picked-up whilst trekking in Africa.

The tour was due to commence on 25th November at the Glee Club in Cardiff, but will now start on 14th April 2010 - still at the Glee Club. The decision was taken as Jules takes a central role in managing the band.

Mike Peters had this to say:

As you all know, Jules has a very important role in the management and structure of the Alarm's touring logistics and it is very important for her long term recovery that she be protected from the pressures that a full scale tour brings and allowed the space and time to regain her health completely. As a husband and father, it is also my duty to be at home to care of Jules throughout her recovery and be there for our two boys Dylan (5) and Evan (2).

Tickets for all rescheduled dates remain valid, except for the Hatfield date, which has been switched to the Islington Carling Academy in London. Refunds can be obtained at your point of purchase. Tickets for the tour, which features The Godfathers for the Manchester date, cost from £14 to £18.50 + booking fee - available now.
