The West End run of the Shawshank Redemption is set to close at the end of the month on 29th November.

Originally due to run until Valentine's day on 14th Feb 2010, the West End adaptation of Frank Darabont's excellent movie - based on Stephen King's short novella 'Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption' will close three months early.

Featuring Kevin Anderson as Andy and Reg E Cathey as Red, the Owen O'Neill and Dave Johns play premiered at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin earlier this year, before settling-in at Wyndham's Theatre on 4th September. The production is due to tour the UK/ Ireland next year, culminating in a date in Dublin.

Tickets for the West End run are available now, starting at £15 for Balcony tickets, rising to £49.50 for stalls seats - or you can take advantage of our "Top Seats Offer", where you pay just £35 for the best seats - saving a whopping £14.50 per ticket. The show will be replaced Stephen Daldry's multi-award winning production of JB Priestley's thriller 'An Inspector Calls', which is currently showing at the Novello Theatre in the West End. It will switch to Wyndham's on 4th December.
