La Roux Set To Cook Up a Storm With 2010 Tour

Posted: 14 years ago

Elly Jackson and co have pretty much conquered the critics, the public and the venues over the past year. The self-titled album stormed to number 1 earlier this year, the 3rd single, "Bulletproof" did the same, the follow-up "I'm Not Your Toy" reached number 2 and seemed to be blaring from every radio on a building site near you and she has appeared at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds festivals before selling out her brief dates in Australia in a matter of seconds. Aside from winning Masterchef, there isn't much this lady hasn't done.

Time for a new single and a subsequent tour methinks. As if by magic (nice cue, that's the next single in January), they have lined up some huge dates in 2010 - and you had better be quick if you want a ticket. Her current Autumn tour has all but sold out.

This 2010 tour starts in Reading on April 26th and continues onward to Brighton (28th), Cambridge (29th), Bournemouth (30th), Sheffield (May 3rd), Manchester (4th) and ending at the home-date in London at the Brixton Academy on the 7th.

As I mentioned, there is a new single due out in January ("As If By Magic") that will continue to draw attention to the album. In fact, you can bet "La Roux" will be on a few Christmas lists. There are also plans to re-release "Quicksand" on November 23rd - keep em peeled right here for confirmation.

The tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am (Friday 30th October), starting from £15 + booking fee.
