Robert Cray has just announced a couple of UK dates for Summer 2010, featuring his newly-reconstructed band, including organ/ keyboard supremo Jim Pugh, Richard Cousins rejoins the band on bass after his 1991 departure and Tony Braunagel on drums.

The blues guitar supreme brings his distinctive twang and lilting vocal over to the UK for two (so far) dates in July - Leicester's De Montfort Hall on 3rd July and the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on 8th - tickets go on sale this Friday (30th October), costing £28.50.

A few months ago, Cray and band released their first album since 2005's 'Twenty', the title track of which features a touching and soulful commentary on the Iraq war (check the video, above). 'This Time' was released on 11th August.

Hopefully, a London date will figure in his UK tour - watch this space for more announcements.
