Last year's New Year's Eve party at the O2 Arena was the turn of the popsters, led by Elton John, featuring X Factor's Alexandra Burke and Will Young. Well, this year's event will be a bit more funky than that (sorry, Elton et al), with Calvin Harris, deadmau5, Justice, Plump DJs, Dave Spoon, Example and special guest Eric Prydz set to shake the dance floor to the max.

Asked by www.ministryofsound.com whether he was looking forward to the event, Londoner Example had this to say:

Oh yeah, not often you get to play venues like that! It's gonna be one huge party and the line up is incredible. I'm glad I'm going on first so I can spend the rest of the night getting drunk.

Tickets for the event cost £50 for seats, with tickets for the "standing" party people costing £75 - on sale now - don't think they'll be doing too much standing, though.
