Bill Bailey

'Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra' it's called, and remarkable indeed it is, featuring the role of the happy, sinister and groovy instruments of the world, with examples from funny-man and musician Bill, the BBC Concert Orchestra and composer (and one-time Art of Noise member) Anne Dudley.

Filmed last year at the Royal Albert Hall, the show will be released in DVD and Blu Ray formats, running for 1 hour and 45 minutes, with bonus material. Such was the success of last year's shows, that he's doing it all again, with Anne Dudley again in the role of conductor. The UK tour starts in Cardiff's Millennium Centre on 6th November, running until 14th December, where the run finishes at the Sage in Gateshead. Earlier this month, the tour was extended, adding a solitary London date and doubling-up the Cardiff show tally (now appearing on 7th as well as 6th November. Ticket price varies according to venue, but starts at £40 at the Warwick Arts centre, rising to £55 in Belfast's Odyssey Arena and Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall. The O2 dates cost £50. Note: the Manchester Bridgewater Hall date (Monday 16th November) has now sold-out.

Also released on the same day is Remarkable Guide is 'Bill Bailey: The Inevitable Box Set', featuring five performances, including his Perrier award-nominated debut stand-up show 'Cosmic Jam', 'Bewilderness', 'Part Troll', last year's sold-out arena show 'Tinselworm' and of course, 'Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide To The Orchestra'.

The Box Set and Remarkable Guide are both released on 26th November, so that's Xmas wrapped-up, then!
