Following earlier cancellations this week due to illness, Elton John has now been forced to cancel the final date of his UK tour at Liverpool's Echo Arena set for Wednesday 28th October.

It's the fourth date the star has had to cancel, following the cancellation of yesterday's Wembley date and his gigs in Sheffield and Newcastle.

All dates are set to be rescheduled, with promoters Marshall Arts stating:

Ticket holders are asked to retain their tickets. Further announcements regarding the replacement dates will be made later this week.

He's also due to play The O2 in Dublin at the end of the week, but I would imagine that date will also be postponed. We'll keep you posted.
