Just when the Beatles resume couldn't get any bigger, here comes the date of the year at the O2 Arena in London. Step forward Sir Paul McCartney with a one-off UK date on the 22nd December 2009.
Tickets for the gig go on sale to the public on Monday 26th October at 9AM. Best stick that in your organizer! It will be McCartney's ONLY UK date this year - he played Nova Scotia earlier this year as well as Las Vegas. He was also nominated for a pair of Grammys this year, and played "I Saw Her Standing There" with the Foo's Dave Grohl at the ceremony - the pair's second collaboration. The entire Beatles album back-catalogue has also recently been re-mastered and issued as deluxe versions.
The Beatles legend is also playing a short European tour prior to the closing date in the capital. The dates include his old stomping ground, Hamburg on December 2nd and Dublin O2 on the 20th.
Tickets for the London O2 Arena date start at £55, rising to £125 + booking fee and go on sale Monday 26th October at 9AM, with tickets for the Dublin O2 costing between €86.25 - €156.25, going on sale on Wednesday 28th Otcober at 9AM.
