Frightening fashionistas, daring designers and genteel ghouls are preparing cutting-edge designs for the inaugural charity Halloween Fashion Ball from Blue Monkey Events - it takes place at Madame Geisha, Brighton on Wednesday 28 October. The evening will showcase Brighton's best budding fashion talent for the Halloween catwalk show followed by an extravagantly ghoulish late night party, all in aid of the local Rocking Horse Charity.

The Halloween Fashion Ball incorporates a stylish Halloween themed fashion catwalk show, compered by the fabulous drag queen Trudi Styles, where four local fashion students will showcase their most ghoulish designs on the catwalk. The outfits will be auctioned at the end of the evening to raise money for the Rockinghorse Charity along with other auction items. The evening's finalé is a ghosts and ghouls party for local fashionistas and VIPs featuring music from DJ Dominic of People Like Us.

Judges include the owner of Jell-o Boutique and two special guest judges yet to be announced. Student designers on the night have a chance of winning a cash prize of £200, to show their summer 2010 collection with local boutique Jell-o and win a week's work experience at a top London fashion house.

Steven Pierson, MD of Blue Monkey Events and lead event organiser for the Halloween Fashion Ball said: "The new Halloween Fashion Ball promises a night of eerily entertaining events and leading-edge designer-wear for Brighton's fashionistas. If you're a budding fashion designer or you just love fashion, do come along on the night for inspiration. We're asking everyone to come in their finest ghostly garments and it's all in aid of raising funds for local charities."

Sponsors of the Halloween Fashion Ball include Madame Geisha, Brighton Frocks Jell-o Boutique, Basement Film Productions and BeSpoke Photography.
