Back for version 4.0, Versus Cancer will feature Andy Rourke from The Smiths, Peter Hook from New Order and Tim Booth, Jim Glennie and Larry Gott from James - now that is a pretty large slice of Manchester legend!

This year's event takes place at the Evening News Arena on Saturday 12th December, moving up a gear from last year's lovely, but much more bijou Moho Live. Versus Cancer founder Andy Rourke had this to say:

It's great to be back for a fourth year. We've been so lucky to get so many amazing performers to play for the cause and this year we'll be doing loads of really unique sets, as well as getting everyone jumping up and down to the bands' greatest hits.

Funds raised will go towards helping cancer patients in the region with The Christie in Manchester being the main beneficiary.

Tickets are on sale now, costing £32.50 + booking fee for seats.
