Which decade/ millennium are we in? New York Dolls, Paul Rodgers and Yusuf Islam winter 2009 tickets on sale at 9AM/ 10AM

That headline could have come straight from the 70s, late 60s even for Paul Rodgers and Yusuf Islam...

Yes, at 9AM this morning, tickets go on sale for Yusuf Islam's long-overdue UK tour - his first in 33 years. Yusuf, formerly known as Cat Stevens will play four Irish/ UK dates in November/ December this year, with tickets going on sale at 9AM, ranging from £50 for the UK dates and €76.20 for the Dublin date.

Former Free and Bad Company lead singer Paul Rodgers will play a one-off London date this November as part of Classic Rock Magazine's "Rock Roll of Honour Week" on Friday 6th November at the Hammersmith Apollo. Tickets, costing £37.50, go on sale at 9AM.

Last week, Paul performed a special American gig which saw hi reunite with Bad Company as well as 70s fusion kings the Doobie Brothers.

Also part of the Classic Rock magazine week are gigs from former Cream drummer Ginger Baker and prog-rockers Uriah Heap - both on 4th November, Ginger at the Jazz Café, Uriah Heap at the Relentless Garage.

Finally, punk rock legends New York Dolls have recently added to their December UK tour, adding dates at the Leamington Spa Assembly on Tuesday 8th, Liverpool's o2 Academy on Wednesday 9th and the HMV Edinburgh Picture House on Thursday 10th December. Tickets for all but the Liverpool date are on sale now, ranging from £18.00 (Liverpool) to £22.50 (London). These dates are in addition to the Junction in Cambridge on 2nd December, Bristol's Anson Rooms on 3rd and HMV Forum in London on 4th. Tickets for the Liverpool date go on sale at 10AM.

New York Dolls recently released fourth studio album 'Cause I Sez So', produced by Todd Rundgren, to critical acclaim, launching the album in the UK with a sell-out gig at London's 100 club in May of this year.
