Get Seasick and Observe The Enemy at the Liverpool Music Week 2009
Posted: 15th September 2009
Dubbed the Liverpool Music Week, this free-admittance festival actually runs over the course of a month and involves some major names and familiar venues in the ex-European Capital Of Culture. You will still have to pay for the tickets for each gig of course, however a clever spot of marketing has gathered the wealth of talent involved under one umbrella, so to speak. You might just want to buy more than one ticket judging by the extensive line up.
Confirmed so far (in chronological order) are 2-Tone legends The Specials (29th Oct - Olympia Theatre), Manc bankers for success Twisted Wheel have a freebie show on 6th Nov @ Masque Theatre, celebrated blues-skiffler Seasick Steve (7th Nov - Olympia), cheeky Reverend & The Maker (7th Nov - Nation), spunky power-pop trio The Enemy (8th Nov - University), electro-disco Scot Calvin Harris (10th Nov - O2 Academy), experimental outfit The Bays play a freebie at the Masque on 13th Nov, Mercury nominees Kasabian (16th Nov - Echo Arena) and tattooed punk-rockers The Gallows (28th Nov - O2 Academy 2).
More dates are to be announced but if you want tickets for the decent line-up thus far then click the links below - prices vary, and note the two (so far) freebie shows at the Masque: Twisted Wheel on 6th and The Bays on 13th November.
