Mark Knopfler extends Summer 2010 UK tour with arena dates

Mark Knopfler has just added seven regional arena dates to his 2010 UK tour itinerary.

The British guitar supreme announced a six date Royal Albert Hall residency set for the end of May/ beginning of June 2010, way back in June of this year. Now, he has supplemented those dates with seven regional dates, starting in Glasgow at the SECC on 21st May, then calling at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, the LG Arena in Birmingham, Manchester's Evening News Arena, the Cardiff International Arena, The Brighton Centre on 27th May and the Bournemouth International Centre on 28th May, before heading down to London for his Royal Albert Hall residency.

At the beginning of next week (Monday 14th September), the Dire Straits guitarist releases his sixth solo album 'Get Lucky', produced by Chuck Ainlay, Guy Fletcher and Mark.

Tickets for the regional Arena tour go on pre-sale tomorrow at 9AM, costing £37.50 + booking fee. Tickets for his Royal Albert Hall residency are also on sale now, costing £45 + booking fee.
