It's been mooted for some time but, finally, the man behind one of the most influential punk and post-punk bands has announced its reincarnation with 5 special dates in December at O2 venues.

John Lydon has previously denied any possible re-formation of Public Image Limited, instead choosing to get behind the helm of the Sex Pistols to keep the legend alive. But now he has opted to wheel out the often-loved, sometimes maligned collective that was never designed to remain the same and certainly hasn't.

The dates take in the O2 Academy venues in Birmingham (15th), Leeds (16th), Glasgow (18th), Manchester (19th) and Brixton (21st) and tickets go on sale on Friday 11th September at 9am, prices vary. There will be no Wobble on bass and no Levene on Guitar (as if!) but does it matter? Lydon will be spitting his bile and plundering his 'best stares' collection whilst covering most of their back catalogue.
