Rock super-group, The Crooked Vultures, have announced a short UK tour for December. The dates begin in Plymouth on the 10th and continue through to the 17th at the HMV Apollo in London's Hammersmith. All corners of the UK appear to have been covered including Portsmouth (11th), Blackpool (13th), Birmingham (14th) and Edinburgh (15th) for the remaining intermediate nights. Tickets go on sale from 10AM on Friday 4th September and cost £30 for all venues except Hammersmith (£32.50)
As previously mentioned on this very site, TCV are made up of Josh Homme (QOTSA), John-Paul Jones (Led Zep) and Dave Grohl (Foos) and are all brought together by one thing - rock n roll. Certainly, there have been plenty of studio-snippets being posted on their website and YouTube to whet the appetite with tracks such as "Scumbag Blues" and "Elephant". Add to this the special appearances at the Reading and Leeds festivals, and you have a pretty well thought out piece of teaser-marketing.
Can the boys deliver? Better be around in the morning to find out. I'm convinced!
