Just announced - Muse are to play 2 special gigs in their home-town of Teignmouth in South Devon at The Den. The dates are Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September and tickets will go on general sale this Friday (21st August) at 9AM - maximum of four tickets per buyer. Members of the Muse website (www.muse.mu) are entitled to a pre-sale offer on Wednesday 20th August - check the "Pre-sale Tickets" button, below.

The cost of the ticket is around £40 including booking fee and there are also special coach packages from several cities in the UK including Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Southampton, Nottingham and Oxford.

The band wish to stress that this is "not a money-making exercise but a thank-you to the local community and fans for their support over the past decade or so". This is the first visit to the West Country homestead for some considerable time - not surprising when you consider that they can now sell out Wembley tickets at the drop of a hat.

New album "The Resistance" is released on September 14th with much of it being influenced by George Orwell's '1984'. The first single from the album "Uprising" precedes the album by one week, being released on 7th September, and can current;y be heard on the www.muse.mu website.
