The Good, The Bad-Ass and The Lovely Offer a Fistful of Fandango Festivities @ 229 for September 2009

An intriguing quartet of evening gigs makes up the Fistful Of Fandango at Great Portland Street's excellent 229 club during September. No less than 24 bands will take to one of the 2 stages to give you the very best in rising talent and acclaimed names in the world of indie rock n roll. This is the 3rd year for the celebrated lively cache of the best in the current indie scene from around the UK.
The whole shebang, promoted by events-extraordinaire Club Fandango, starts on Wednesday 9th September with 6 acts including the Domino-label songwriter Eugene McGuiness and acclaimed French band Herman Dune. Thursday 10th welcomes Cardiffian mind-blowers Future Of The Left and Victorian English Gentleman's Club as well as the wonderfully-named Dinosaur Pile-Up, while Friday 11th showcases a pair of neu-new wavers in Pete & The Pirates and Flashguns. The whole mini-festival ends on Saturday 12th with Frank Black-collaborators in arms, Art Brut and Fierce Panda threesome, Hatcham Social providing the ear-candy.
Previous Fandango performers have been Friendly Fires, Broken Records and British Sea Power as well as Top 20 band, Camera Obscura. Plus it's all at a bargain price of £12.50 for advance tickets (£14 on the door).....
Nearest tube is, you've guessed it, Great Portland Street. Regent's Park and Euston stations are also within 10 minutes walk.
