There isn't much that Jay-Z hasn't done in his short life - 40 million albums sold worldwide, 7 Grammy Awards, as many number 1 Billboard albums as Elvis and a controversial choice for the Main Stage at Glasto a couple of years back. Well, album number 11 is looming on the horizon and details have now been released as to its content, as well as the first single choice and a short UK tour.
"Blueprint 3" comes exactly 8 years after the first chapter and is set to be released on September 14th over here - and significantly on the 11th in the US. According to the Jaymaster "This album shows how the trilogy has come full circle.....and lays the groundwork for what can happen next". Lead-off cut "Run this Town", has already garnered massive support across both sides of the Atlantic due, in part, to his collaboration with Rhianna and Kanye West on the track. The single appears on August 31st and will be released through his Roc-Nation imprint. You can watch the video for "Run this Town", above.
As well as all of this recorded activity, there will be 3 live dates in the UK. Manchester is the first port of call on September 12th , Glasgow follows on September 16th and finally London's Wembley Stadium on September 18th and 19th. All dates are in support of previous collaborators Coldplay as well as Girls Aloud and White Lies at the London gigs.
