Alpha-ville Festival 2009 - new audiovisual London-based arts festival
Posted: 17th August 2009
The first instalment of the progressive audiovisual Alpha-ville festival will take place in London on 5th September. The innovative event will mix digital media, live visuals, electronic music, and short films.
Aiming to promote artists from various creative sectors and refuel the capital's passion for culture, Alpha-ville will allow attendees to experience the festival in an iconic London setting - Bloomsbury's 'The Horse Hospital', a unique arts venue. Its ethos is to focus on celebrating links between digital media, the visual arts, and music, and to encourage participants to consider the effects of technology in society.
The creators of the festival have teamed up with short film label Future Shorts as well as working on an outstanding international line-up - which is to include the innovative Arbol, who has also featured at the Sonar festival and London's ICA. Alpha-ville is the first in a sequence of events, and will be donating 1% of overall profit from the series to charity 'Save The Children'.
Tickets are available now at £5 each.
