Brummy rockers The Twang will be hitting the road later this year for a tour of the UK.

Having released their second album 'Jewellery Quarter' earlier this week, the boys will be playing all over the shop in an extensive list of shows.

Venues will include Portsmouth's Wedgewood Rooms, London's Koko and Manchester's Ritz, as well as more in Nottingham, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Brighton, Norwich, Derby and Glasgow to name a few.

Five-piece The Twang blasted into the spotlight back in 2007 and big things are anticipated, especially following the success of their first single, 'Wide Awake' and their title of 'Best Band in Britain 2007' according to the indie-pop gospel that is NME. 'Jewellery Quarter' has received great reviews, Happy Mondays comparisons intact, proving that there's a lot more to come from these Birmingham softies.

Tickets will be on sale on August 7th at 9am at £12.50-£14 each.
