London Headliners Festival 2009 - more acts added to the bill!
Posted: 5th August 2009
More big names have been added to the melange of "Headliners" already announced.
Daniel Merriweather has been announced to play on one of the two days along with turntable cut-up maestro DJ Yoda, Kingston alt-folkers Kurran & The Wolfnotes and South London's Raygun join the happy throng of performers on September 16th and 17th.
Raygun have previously supported Pink and Peter, Bjorn & John and are not adverse to wowing larger audiences. They have a new single called "Just Because" in August - so by September you should be familiar with at least one song of theirs!
Kurran & The Wolfnotes also hail from South London, Kingston to be exact, and may well be familiar to you but their origins extend further afield such as Lille and New York. Their sound is big and dramatic, just the sort of thing to liven up a wet Autumnal evening...
DJ Yoda has released oodles of albums of his party bangers all mixed up into a veritable soup and played to packed venues all over the country. Now he brings his unique light-hearted turntable symphony to London. This will form part of his National Video Vacation.
And finally, Aussie singer-songwrite Daniel Merriweather continues his quest for world domination with an appearance at the festival. After racking up a few solo hits plus a successful collaboration with Mark Ronson on the Smiths cover, "Stop Me".
Keep 'em peeled for more names to be added!
