Serial giggers and likely Wakefield lads The Cribs have announced their biggest UK shows to date for December, which will follow their autumn sell-out tour.

The band's eagerly anticipated forthcoming album 'Ignore The Ignorant' is due for release on September 7th, which also is the same night they play Doncaster's The Dome - the nearest large-scale venue to their West Yorkshire hometown.

Other December dates will be on the 2nd at Birmingham's O2 Academy, December 3rd at London's The O2, and a Scottish date at Edinburgh's Corn Exchange to close on December 6th. Although not making any festival appearances this year, The Cribs are gigging throughout September and October, as well as supporting Franz Ferdinand on a European tour.

'Ignore The Ignorant', the band's next album, will make musical history by being available in a regional (countywide) format. Very limited special editions will be available in Yorkshire (Ryan and Ross Jarman's hometown), Lancashire (Jonny Marr) and Portland, Oregon, USA (Gary Jarman), and will be entitled 'The Roses Edition'. It will come as a black box set and include a documentary DVD plus a live bootleg from a previous Manchester show.

Tickets for the December dates will be available from 9am on Friday 17th July, priced at £15-£16.50 each + booking.
