Medeski, Martin & Wood have been forced to cancel their fortchcoming European tour, due to play tonight in Oldenburg, Germany and at the Barbican in London, tomorrow.

The renowned experimental jazz trio, featuring John Medeski on keyboards and piano, Billy Martin on drums and percussion, and Chris Wood on double bass and bass guitar have been forced to cancel the tour due to illness.

An official statement on the band's myspace site (www.myspace.com/medeskimartinandwood) reads:

Unfortunately due to illness, Medeski Martin & Wood has canceled the remainder of their European tour.
It is with regret we announce this and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to reschedule these dates shortly.

Full refunds are available for Barbican ticket holders, if required. The free Barbican shows, featuring Get the Blessing and The Claudia Quintet, will however still be taking place on the FreeStage of the Barbican's foyer, starting at 5:45PM with Get the Blessing, then 6:45PM for The Claudia Quintet.
