This weekend sees the most exciting weekend for London music lovers returning to the capital: 2009's Wireless Festival. The Festival has been running for just 5 years and this year, The Black and White Years are set to make their London debut at Hyde Park's Wireless Festival 2009 on both Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July.

The band hail from Austin, Texas and although unknown in the UK as yet, this is set to change very soon. Their self titled debut album won't be officially released in the UK until 2010 (although currently available on iTunes) so their appearance at the festival gives festival-goers an exclusive live preview of what the band have to offer. Already big in the states, they have under their belts 4 "outstanding" performances at 2009's South by Southwest and 5 awards from the 27th Annual Austin Music Awards including 'Best New Band' and' Best Song'. Their high-energy performances are described as "electro-dance-rock" and are set to breathe some life into the early afternoons this weekend in Hyde Park.

The four piece are set to take to the Tuborg Stage on both days - 4.45pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday - so there are no excuses for missing this set! The festival also features headliners such as Kanye West, Basement Jaxx and Daniel Merriweather amongst others.

In addition, we are excited to be able to offer you (until the end of July) a freebie download of their track "Power to Change" - yours to cherish and enjoy! Get it here: www.allgigs.co.uk/downloads/theblackandwhiteyears-powertochange.mp3
