Chew Lips have already caused an unholy rumble with their subtle and startling single "Halo" and they are sure to keep the expectancy meter in the red with another new release and an appearance at Glastonbury this weekend. They have also just returned from a 3 night Kitsune tour in Manchester, London and Brighton and will embark on a fairly comprehensive tour of Europe that will take in Wales, Portugal, Isle of Wight (Bestival) and Germany as well as the excellent Standon Calling sci-fi festival in Herts.

Using low-fi electronica and disco-frisco beats, the band meld their mixture from CSS, LCD Soundsystem and a dash of Afrika Bambaataa without forgetting to run forward, rather than crawl backwards. "Salty Air", their fidgety second single, sees them turn up the heat and crank up the funk and should ensure that they continue to be the darlings of the NME set. Judging by the outing at the Camden Crawl, this should be a done deal.

Make sure you catch them at the swathe of festivals they will appear in over the next few months, which for the UK includes: Wakestock, Lovebox, Secret Garden Party, Truck Festival, Kendall Calling, Standon Calling, Boardmasters, Bestival and Southsea Festival.
