Michael Jackson has died today of a cardiac arrest in Los Angeles. The pop superstar was rushed to UCLA hospital in the afternoon having suffered a heart attack at home, but after falling into a coma and after CPR was pronounced dead at the hospital. The star had recently been dogged by health problems.

This, in the year of his 50th birthday, with his record-breaking UK tour due to start at the O2 in just over two weeks time.
