Thin Lizzy postpone June 2009 UK dates due to injury

Posted: 14 years ago

Irish hard rock legends Thin Lizzy have been forced to postpone their forthcoming June 2009 UK dates due to an injury sustained by their drummer.

The band were due to head out on a two-date stint tomorrow (24th June) at Liverpool's Academy, followed by a date at Rock City in Nottingham, but have decided to pull the dates to allow drummer Tommy Aldridge to recover from a broken collarbone - sustained in a recent accident.

The band also had to cancel Saturday's appearance at the Kobetasonik festival in Bilbao, but the UK dates will both be rescheduled for the autumn. The boys are due to play Sonisphere at Knebworth on 2nd August, so we wish Tommy a speedy recovery!

Refunds are available for the UK shows at the point of purchase, but note that tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates (to be announced).
