Cinderella on Ice [Imperial Ice Stars] set for Royal Albert Hall in February 2010

Posted: 14 years ago

Want to get a fix of some wonderful dancing on Ice but without the pratfalls witnessed on last year's "Dancing on Ice"? Then February next year shall be a real treat for you because the grandiose Royal Albert Hall are hosting 'Cinderella On Ice'. From the same magnificent team that brought you Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty On Ice, this is set to be a fantastic event when it begins it's all too short run from 24th - 28th February 2010.

The story is given a smart rehash as Cinderella becomes a modest chorus dancer who receives the adulation of the Lord Mayor's son as she is thrust into the limelight as a prima ballerina. Of course, being Cinders it is not easy-going, as her wicked stepmother (updated as a local ballet mistress) assists her ballerina daughters (the stepsisters) in trying to steal the charming love from our heroine. Will love run smoothly? It will certainly glide wonderfully through all eight performances from the 25 strong cast, each a champion on the ice in their own rite. The world famous Imperial ice stars also get the honour of being only the second group to freeze the great hall, the only other being The John Curry Symphony on Ice 25 years ago. So it is set to be historic and, above all, super fun for everyone.

Tickets are on sale now, starting at £38.
