Beach Break Live 2009 relocates to Kent!

Posted: 14 years ago

Having already sold-out, becoming the largest Beach Break Live ever and having secured the green flag to go ahead with this year's Beach Break Live in St Agnes Beacon, Cornwall, you'd have thought that with just a week to go, that would be that: everybody awaits next week's sunshine and good vibes... But it seems that the Cornish council don't want to play ball, having just rejected planning permission for the event, against the advice of the Cornish authorities and the planning officer.

Undeterred, and determined that the show must go on, this year's event will now take place at the beautiful Port Lympne wildlife park near Romney Marsh in Kent. The event's organiser will still be shipping I the sand to build a beach and delivering everything as originally planned, ensuring 10,000 happy students for next week's event.

Beach Break Live's organisers had this to say:

After coming face to face with the prospect of extinction, we followed our animal instincts and headed across the UK in search of safety. Bursting out of the undergrowth amongst the rhino's, tigers, monkeys, lions and a whole host of other completely splendid looking creatures, Beach Break Live is currently erupting in a blossoming safari spectacular.
Now based in the Garden of England.....Kent..... set in 600 stunning acres, including the lush grounds of Port Lympne Mansion with sea views, Beach Break Live 2009 is about to deliver a legendary festival of revolutionary spirit.
