This Friday (15th May 2009), as part of the Gaymers Cider's "Gaymers Grassroots Gigs", Brighton's The Maccabees will play a special one-off performance in an intimate Brighton venue during the "The Great Escape", which starts in Brighton this Thursday.

It will be a daytime gig, with limited tickets being allocated by the Gaymers Live Music myspace site (www.myspace.com/gaymerslivemusic). Good luck!

This year's Great Escape features a host of talent, with the gigs running from Thursday 14th May, with the action starting from midday until Saturday night. The lineup for this year's event includes: Kasabian, Passion Pit, Little Boots, British Sea Power, The Maccabees, Patrick Wolf, Noah and the Whale, Metric, Brakes, Juliette and the New Romantiques, Hockey, Turbowolf, Mechanical Bride, Jakko and Jay, Dan Mangan, Broken Records and many, many more. Tickets are still available, costing £49 for the whole event (music only), £18.50 - £25 for single day music tickets and £75 - £150 for "Delegate" tickets, allowing you to attend the conventions.
