Ricky Gervais has today announced details of his forthcoming UK winter tour entitled 'Science'.
The comedian, who is about to appear on the silver screen for the second instalment of 'Night at the Museum', has been warming-up for the tour with a series of 'Work in Progress' gigs throughout London - the latest of which hits the Arts Depot in North London for two days at the end of this month (tickets for which are now sold out).
The UK tour kicks off with a few dates in Scotland, starting at the SECC on 24th August, then recommences for a pair of dates in Portsmouth on October 6th/7th and from this point in, the theme is "weekly pairs" as each week, it's a new venue, new pair of dates, calling at Oxford (12th/ 13th), Newcastle (19th/ 20th), Ipswich (26th/ 27th), Manchester (11th/ 12th Nov), Bournemouth (17th/ 18th), Birmingham (25th/ 26th), Sheffield (1st/ 2nd Dec), Blackpool (9th/ 10th) and ending (currently) in Brighton with dates on 14th and 15th December.
The obvious omission is London, but looking at the scheduling, it seems possible that a few London dates may appear (hopefully).
Tickets for the Science tour go on sale this Friday 15th May at 10AM. Demand will obviously be huge, so please be prompt and patient!
