Last chance to win a slot at this year's Beach Break Live 2009!

Tomorrow morning (Tuesday 12th May), the "Battle to the Beach" competition, where bands can win a slot at this year's Beach Break Live closes.

Entrants must email a track/ myspace link to Beach Break Live before 9AM in order to be in with a chance to play the "ACM Presents New Music stage" at this year's event, in front of around 10,000 students. In addition, the winner will receive a full A&R review career development, a digital release across multiple download stores and professional marketing advice.

Two runners-up will also win a live slot at the event on one of the outdoor stages, so if you're in a band, and you think you're good, well, what are you waiting for?!

Round 1 of the competition (which closes at 9AM 12thh May2009), requires you to email your song/ myspace/ facebook details to battletothebeach@beachbreaklive.com, with the subject/ heading line: "Battle to The Beach / [your band's name]"

Round 2 will require you to setup a new facebook FANPAGE, titled: "Your band's name do/ does Beach Break Live Battle to the Beach 2009"

For Round 3, the bands with the most fans by 29th May will be judged by ACM and Beach Break Live to decide which three bands get the main/ runners-up prizes.

Replace Your Face record attempt

On 19th May 2009, Beach Break Live (and you!) will attempt to break a Guiness World record when for 24hrs, they will request that you change your facebook profile picture for 24hrs from 6PM. In doing so, they hope to break the current Guiness World record, and will offer the fans (that's you!) that participate, the chance of winning £500 cash and a load of Kopparberg cider, as well as winning VIP tickets to the event.

Beach Break Live takes place in North Cornwall from 16th to 19th June and features a host of great live acts and DJs, including: Dizzee Rascal, The Zutons, Mystery Jets, Friendly Fires, Ladyhawke, Hadouken , Noisettes, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip , The Whip, Cuban Brothers, Will And The People , Red Light Company, Ebony Bones, Dan Black, Vv Brown, Esser and many more. DJs on the day include: Chase & Status Ft. Rage, Takura And Plan B, DJ Yoda, Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kuts, Caspa & Rusko, Tayo , Count & Sinden, Craze And Klever, Freestylers and many more.

Tickets for the event, which is aimed at students, cost £84 for the full four days, and are available now. There are a limited number of tickets available for non-students. You must be over 18 years of age to attend, and will require ID.
