Shirley Lee is the main song-writer for, and singer with, London-based cult indie band Spearmint.

The new double A-side download single from Mr Shirley Lee is released on 15 June. Featuring fizzing slab of energy and live favourite 'Dissolving Time' and 'Spiralina Girl', which shows off Shirley's trademark soulful, romantic song-writing to lovely effect, both songs are lifted from Shirley's self-titled debut solo album, which was released in March to much acclaim. The single is augmented by a third song, 'Restless Soul', which is exclusive to this single and features some outstandingly foul language...

The single coincides with the delayed publication of 'This Is A Souvenir: The Songs Of Spearmint & Shirley Lee', a book by Image Comics of California celebrating Shirley's lyrics. The book features graphic novellas inspired by 24 of Shirley's songs, including tracks from the new album, as well as Spearmint classics such as 'Sweeping The Nation', 'A Different Lifetime' and 'A Trip Into Space'.

Spearmint are currently in the studio recording new material to be released in September to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album 'A Week Away'.
