Posted: 8th May 2009
This year's lineup for the all-so well intended music festival, Love Music Hate Racism has been announced for Stoke. The event will take place at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent on May 30th.
Taking to the stage (two of them, in fact) to spread the love, and attempt to make John Lennon's "Imagine" a reality (after all these years...), will be Kano, ex-Specials' Jerry Dammers, pop newbie of sort VV Brown, The Beautiful South, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, UK Soul diva Beverly Knight, grime collective Roll Deep, Kieran Leonard, DJ Ironik, Jon McClure's Reverend and The Makers and Drew McConnell's Helsinki- the latter two should actually be appointed patrons of LMHR after their multiple efforts to serve the cause, the latest being their explicitly-named side project, Mongrel- on the main stage, as well as Crazy Couzin featuring Kyla, Blame Selah, DJ Target, Skepta and others in the Dance arena.
Tickets only cost a tenner (+ a booking fee of £ 1.50) and are available now. Go, just go!
