Super Furry Animals set to close 2009's Somerset House Summer Series

Posted: 1st May 2009

Super Furry Animals have been named as the act to close the Summer Series at the glorious Somerset House on the Strand in London this year.

The Welsh alternative rockers, led by Gruff Rhys will play the finale show on 18th July, joining the likes of Grace Jones - who opens the series on 9th July, along with The Enemy,

Lily Allen, Mars Volta, The Ting Tings, Pendulum, Bat For Lashes and Athlete.

The Furries are also playing this year's Wychwood, Beachdown and Hop Farm Festivals. The quintet released their ninth studio album 'Dark Days/Light Years' last month, to much critical acclaim.

Tickets for their Somerset House date cost £25 and are on sale now, as are all other Summer Series dates, but note that Grace Jones, Lily Allen and The Ting Tings tickets are no longer available at face value.
