Starsailor, Holloways, British Sea Power, Paul Carrack for Indie Guitar Music Festival 2009

Update: Event Cancelled

Sadly the festival has had to be cancelled, there are a multitude of reasons why, but fundamentally if we go ahead with it Indie Guitars, who have been solely sponsoring the festival from the beginning will suffer dramatically. Therefore we're forced to make a very difficult decision based on that fact. Elevated costs and a very difficult financial climate have been instrumental in this situation.
As a guitar manufacturer we have ongoing commitments to our dealer base, employees, manufacturing companies etc etc, and we cannot continue to put all of those people and companies at risk, hence our decision to cancel the festival sooner rather than later has been made.

Here's another inaugural and promising music festival for you lot to check out this summer. The Indie Guitar Music Festival will take place in The Cotswolds from July 24th to 26th. The organisers pride themselves in introducing "a truly independent music festival focusing on what is truly important: the music", as verified by the fine line-up including Starsailor, The Holloways and British Sea Power performing on the Saturday, as well as Britpop princes Cornershop and blue-eyed soul royalty Paul Carrack on the Sunday.

The Friday will showcase a dozen of unsigned gems, such as Crafty Simian and The Restaurant, with headlining tribute bands Whole Lotta DC (AC/DC fanatics) and Zion (Bob Marley's mimicking heir).

Performances will run from 11am to 11pm on each day, though Saturday will be

stretched with a DJ set night until 1am.

Weekend tickets are now on sale at £79.99 for adults and £49.99 for kids, plus booking and excluding camping for which a supplement of £30.00 applies.
