The festival calendar this year is looking a bit crowded as summer beckons, with things certainly looking up for the boutique event-goer. The Hop Farm Festival has just announced its first line-up details for its 2009 offering, which is set in the lovely Hop Farm in Kent on 4-5th July.
Legend Paul Weller will be joined by Editors, Doves, Pigeon Detectives, 2ManyDjs, Super Furry Animals, Mystery Jets, Ladyhawke and many more.
The forward-thinking festival is famed for its lack of VIP areas, and is devoid of sponsorship and branding, and came about after a survey showed that fans buying festival tickets felt "low in the pecking order". The Hop Farm Festival is all about the music and the fans! Adding to the experience, you can find boutique camping, quality food and traditional ales, other activities - and of course, a load of top artists playing over three stages.
Weekend tickets including camping are £125, or a day ticket is £65. Bargainous!
