Camden's original nutty buys, Madness, are set to play a free secret gig as part of this year's Camden Crawl.

The show will be part of a series of free events at this year's crawl presented by digital radio BBC 6 Music, which will be broadcasting highlights of the two day festival.

Jeff Smith, Head of Music for BBC 6 Music had this to say :

6 Music are delighted to bring Madness back to their spiritual home to give a performance that truly connects them to their home crowd and to the wider 6 Music audience.

The free events will take place on the first day of the Camden Crawl, and entry is not restricted to valid Camden Crawl ticket-holders. 6 Music will broadcast part of the Madness gig live on Steve Lamacq's show, between 4PM and 7PM.

This year's Camden Crawl will feature The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Idlewild, The Maccabees, The Fall, Echo and the Bunnymen, 808 State, Filthy Dukes, The Fall, The View and many more.
