UK rockers Placebo have announced intimate shows in Sheffield, Bournemouth and London this May.

The band, fronted by Brian Molko, will also grace the stages of the Leeds and Reading festivals as well as numerous others across the globe. In December Placebo treated fans to a few arena dates.

The three-piece will play several warm-up dates ahead of their festival appearances this summer, which will also precede the release of their 6th album 'Battle For The Sun' on June 8th. The first single from the album was released for free download from the band's website after a world premiere on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show.

Formed in 1994, the band has morphed their sound as they have gained fame, and can claim an excellent back-catalogue of tracks including 'Nancy Boy', 'Every You Every Me' and 'Pure Morning'.

Tickets are on pre-sale at the moment (check the links below) and go on general sale from 9am on Wednesday 8th April.
