Childline set to rock London's IndigO2 on 1st June 2009
Posted: 3rd April 2009
Annual charity concert Childline Rocks is back this year as space on the charity gig bandwagon is getting a bit limited.
Live at the IndigO2, London, the event aims at raising £2m for Childline to celebrate 20 years since the charity's conception.
The line-up for the event on 1st June 09 includes Hot Leg (80s-stylee glam rockers fronted by The Darkness' Justin Hawkins), Sons of Albion, and The Pretty Things, prog-rockers Uriah Heep, and Deep Purple organist Jon Lord, with headlines are still to be announced.
Childline Rocks was a roaring success last year at its first show, which included world-class acts such as Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and The Zombies as well as an auction of rock memorabilia such as a signed Led Zeppelin plaque, Noel Gallagher's guitar, and a Gibson Les Paul signed by artists playing that night.
Tickets are on sale now and are £25 for standing, £40 for seated. Watch this space as headlines are still to be revealed!
