Calendar Girls

The thought of posing naked for the camera is enough to make most run for the hills, but not The Calendar Girls! The 2003 movie hit comes to the stage in London this Saturday. The adaptation of the film of the same name, by Tim Firth, will feature at the Noel Coward Theatre from 4th April.

Based on a true story, the quintessentially-British comedy centres around the members of a Yorkshire branch of the Womens' Institute. The inspiring group, who persuade each other to pose for an unusual charity calendar, end up revealing a lot more than they originally intended!

The show, which comes to London's West-End after being the fastest-selling tour in history, stars Lynda Bellingham, Patricia Hodge, Siân Phillips, Gaynor Faye, Brigit Forsyth, Julia Hills and Elaine C. Smith. It has received rave reviews as an enjoyable, funny and heartwarming tale, rating as "a show whose feelgood factor is sky high" - Guardian. Tickets are on sale now and are £31.50-44 + booking fee.
