Kasabian's June 2009 follow-up album to 'Empire' and freebie single - this week only

Kasabian will soon be back in the spotlight, as the Leicester quintet is to release their third studio album, The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, on June 8th.

This will come three years after their multi-platinum-selling album, 'Empire', which featured such hits as the eponymous single 'Empire' and 'Shoot The Runner'.

In advance of their new album release, the boys are offering a free download of one of the tracks, 'Vlad the Impaler', which will be made available from their website (www.kasabian.co.uk) between today (March 31st) @ 7.30am and midnight on April 3rd, only.

The first official physical single, 'Fire', will then come out on June 1st. Prior to that, the band will headline The Great Escape (Brighton's answer to the Camden Crawl in London) on May 14th, play St George Market in Belfast on June

22nd, and take part in the Eden Sessions in Cornwall on July 4th. All tickets are on sale now.
