Avenue Q re-homed and West End run extended until September 2009

Posted: 15 years ago

Avenue Q, which is currently showing at the Noel Coward Theatre has just had it's West End run extended until 26th September, but will switch to a new home.

The popular, multi award-winning adult puppet musical will play at the Gielgud theatre from 1st June, with the last Noel Coward Theatre date being Saturday 25th April.

Ticket prices for the new production are also a lot easier on the pocket, with tickets costing just £20, £30 and £39 - the same starting price as the Noel Coward, but the top-priced and midrange tickets are a fair bit cheaper.

The show has travelled the World, premiering on Broadway in 2003, it has had productions all over America, Sweden, Israel, Mexico, Singapore, Australia, Brazil, the West end and also Royal Tunbridge Wells. Whilst in America, the show won Tony awards for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Original Score.

Both West End productions are booking now.

Update 1st April 2009

Seems that the Noel Coward Theatre end date was brought forward and the show has now ended. It starts at the Gielgud Theatre on 1st June.
