Neil Young has just been announced as the headline act for the Saturday Hard Rock Calling date at Hyde Park.

"The Godfather of grunge" makes it a hat-trick of UK festival appearances with the Hard Rock Calling date, with the announcement of his Isle of Wight and Glastonbury dates recently. The Hyde Park date completes the "missing link", as, until now his UK tour only included Nottingham and Aberdeen dates (not including Glasto or IOW), but nothing in London.

Joining Neil in Hyde Park will be joined by Seattle's Fleet Foxes, Ben Harper & Relentless 7, American blues dawg Seasick Steve and Chrissie Hynde's The Pretenders.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, making it a very busy morning for some fans, with Jacko's tickets on sale at 7AM, Hard Rock Calling at 9AM and tickets for a special celebration of Island Records 50th birthday also going on sale at 9.
