Little Feat for 40th Anniversary May 2009 tour

Posted: 15 years ago

This year, the American rock band Little Feat, celebrate their 40th anniversary of existence - unfortunately, without their late lead singer and founding member, Lowell George, whose life was cut short at the age of 34 in 1979.

Little Feat's unconventional blend of RnB, blues, funk, country and rock'n'roll has earned them fans, including The Black Crowes, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Paige, Bruce Springsteen and Mick Jagger , to name a few.

Following the release of their fifteenth studio album, 'Join the Band', last July, and the success of their 2008 tour, the nine-piece (now that singer Shaun Murphy has stepped down) collective returns for a mini UK tour in May, which will see them rocking out the London IndigO2 on May 8th, the Liverpool O2 Academy on May 9th, the Oxford O2 Academy, the Gateshead Sage on May 11th, the Glasgow ABC on May 12th and the Dublin Academy on May 13th.
