Ignite - Free lunchtime concerts at Café Consort in the Royal Albert Hall
Posted: 2nd March 2009
The Royal Albert Hall continues it's 'Ignite' series of free lunchtime gigs this month, with a few crackers lined up: Southern Tenant Folk Union, Breabach, Zig and three concerts by entrants in the 2009 London International String Quartet competition.
Following-on from our honourable mention in yesterday's Observer - as a place to find free/ cheap events, the Ignite events will cost you absolutely nothing - unless of course you're going to grab a bite to eat or drink at the Royal Albert Hall's Café Consort, that is.
You'll also get a chance to grab a sneaky-peak at one quarter of this year's final twelve entrants in the triennial London International String Quartet competition - and that, again, will not cost you a bean.
For more money-saving gigs, check out our "Freebies", "Under a Tenner" and "Under a Fiver" sections - links to the right. With just under 1,000 events costing £5 or less, there might just be something you like, with a price to match....
