Scottish duo The Proclaimers have just announced a nineteen date UK tour which will see them cover the length and breadth of England and Wales, with interestingly only one Scottish date.

The pair start the tour in Carlisle's Sands Centre on 9th October, calling at Carlisle, Manchester, Norwich, Cambridge, Oxford, Nottingham, Southampton, Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Coventry, Llandudno, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle and (currently) finishing in Edinburgh on 11th November, but surely some more Scottish dates will be added?

In March 2007, the pair topped the UK singles chart for the first time with their Comic Relief rendition of 'I'm Going to Be (500 Miles)', featuring Peter Kay and Matt Lucas - not to mention Bobby Davro helping out in the chorus (that is, by having a name that rhymes with 'ta-ra-da', that is!)
