Herbie Hancock and Lang Lang join forces again for July 2009 Royal Albert Hall performance

Jazz meets Classical for one night in the Royal Albert hall, as two masters of the keys for their respective genres, Herbie Hancock (jazz) and Lang Lang (classical) perform along with the Philharmonia Orchstra at London's Royal Albert Hall this July.

The pair recently performed Gershwin's 'Rhapsody on Blue'at the 50th Grammy Awards - with them trading licks in a 'duelling keys' manner. For the concert, on Saturday 11th July, the pair will recreate the performance as well as Vaughan Williams' Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra as well as solo, duo and four hand repertoire for piano. The conductor for the event will be John Axelrod.

Herbie picked-up the 'Best Album' Grammy award at this year's Grammys for his homage to Joni Mitchell: 'River: The Joni Letters'.
