The Script is written for 2009!

The Dublin three-piece have signed up for a five-date residency at West London's Shepherd's Bush Empire in June, where they will perform on June 11th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th.

Following the success of their eponymous debut album, which charted in most of Europe, with the two hit singles "We Cry" and " The Man Who Can't Be Moved", The Script will try their luck in States, where the album will be released in March.

In the meantime, they will be running for Best Irish Band, Best Irish Pop Act and Best Irish Album at the Meteor Ireland Music Awards (equivalent to the Brits), as well as for Best Album at the Choice Music Prize, the ceremonies of which will respectively take place on March 17th and March 4th.

The Script has also been confirmed to play that the Oxegen Festival in Kildare, which will be headlined by Kings of Leon, Blur, The Killers and Snow Patrol.

Tickets for The Script's 'Five Night Stand' cost £18.50 (+ booking fee) and will go on sale this Friday.
