Perhaps the most exciting rock festival to hit these shores in a while just got a whole lot more exciting with the addition of Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Alice in Chains, Thin Lizzy and The Sword swelling an already supreme metal-laden lineup, featuring Metallica, Linkin Park, Mastodon and Lamb of God.

Californians Avenged Sevenfold will play just one UK date this year, according to the Sonisphere site, and, you guessed it - it'll be in Knebworth at Sonisphere.

Tickets for the two day event, cost £132 or £157 with camping (+ booking).
